How to Enroll in a Course

Overview

Courses in Family School are enrolled from the Course Library. Parents control course enrollment for both parent and student accounts. This article explains how to enroll in a course and how to view enrolled courses.


Important Notes Before Enrolling

  • Parents must be logged in to a parent account

  • Some courses are student-only (Math, Language Arts, Skills Core)

  • Students must already be added under My Account → My Family

  • Free Plan users may enroll in one course only

    • This course applies to all users under the parent account

    • The free course cannot be changed


How to Enroll in a Course

Steps

  1. Sign in to your parent account at www.familyschool.org

  2. Select Course Library from the top menu

  3. Use the filters to search by:

    • Level

    • Subject Area

  4. Click on the course you want to enroll in

  5. Select Enroll

  6. Choose who to enroll:

    • Parent

    • Student(s)

  7. Click Enroll to confirm

Note:
If a student does not appear in the enrollment list, select Add Student and create the student account first.


How to View Enrolled Courses

After enrolling, you can view all active courses.

Steps

  1. Go to the Course Library

  2. Click My Enrolled Courses (next to the search bar)

  3. Use the drop-down menu to switch between:

    • Parent view

    • Student view(s)

This allows you to see exactly which courses each account is enrolled in.

  • Multiple enrollments:

    • Students may enroll in multiple Character Core and Skills Core courses

    • Students may enroll in one Math and one Language Arts course at a time
