Take the Math Placement Test

Take the Math Placement Test

Overview

The Math Placement Test helps families determine whether a student is ready to move to the next Math level. It is an end-of-level assessment that checks how well a student understands the concepts taught in a Math course.

This assessment can be used for level placement or end-of-year review.

When to Use the Math Placement Test

You may want to use the Math Placement Test if:

  • Your student is new to Family School

  • You are unsure which Math level to start with

  • Your student completed a Math course, and you want to confirm readiness for the next level

If the student passes the assessment, it indicates they are ready to continue to the next Math level.

How to Take the Math Placement Test

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Log in to your parent account.

  2. Go to the Course Library.

  3. For Math: Look for the Math level course just below the level you want your student to start. This helps determine if your student has mastered the previous level. For example, if you want to know whether your student is ready for Math 5, have them take the placement test in Math Level 4.

  4. Open the course and go to the Resources tab (as shown in the screenshot).
  5. Look for Placement Tests or Supplemental Course Downloads, then select the placement tests.
