Change Virtual School Add-On (Coached Class ↔ Academic Suite)

Overview

Parents can switch a student’s Virtual School Add-On between Coached Class and Academic Suite if their academic needs change. This allows families to move between live support options while keeping the student enrolled in Virtual School.

This article explains how to change between Virtual School add-ons from a parent account.

How to Change the Virtual School Add-On


Steps

  1. Log in to your parent Family School account

  2. Click Family in the top menu

  3. Locate the student account you want to update

  4. Click Change Academic Services

  5. The alternate add-on will be automatically selected for you

    • If currently enrolled in Coached Class, Academic Suite will be selected

    • If currently enrolled in Academic Suite, Coached Class will be selected

  6. Choose your payment option:

    • Pay once

    • Pay over time

  7. Click Complete Purchase

Once completed, the new add-on will be applied to the student account.

Important Billing Notes

Changing your Virtual School add-on may affect your billing:

  • If you paid upfront for the year:

    • Any unused portion of your previous add-on will be refunded according to the refund policy

  • If you are on a monthly installment plan:

    • The current plan will cancel immediately

    • Billing will begin for the new add-on
